I think this calls for a post on 'what to look for if the property purchase is purely an investment'.Watch this space.Shirilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13443981190371924018noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2356894817165296920.post-6796896306525460702009-04-21T22:12:00.000-07:002009-04-21T22:12:00.000-07:00There will be a difference in what you look for wh...There will be a difference in what you look for when you pick up a property to stay and to invest. Keeping the factors from your blog constant, what are things one should look for the later?ninadismhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08947086255943157968noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2356894817165296920.post-84586960664049750802009-04-21T21:59:00.000-07:002009-04-21T21:59:00.000-07:00I agree with ravi on how home buyers must access t...I agree with ravi on how home buyers must access the value proposition and not just the price proposition.
About buying a home being a stressful proposition, i couldnt agree more. Infact i did post my experience with regards to buying a home on the TAIN group @ facebook. I will post it here as well. Many of us have probably been through the process and it will be interesting to hear varied experiences.Shirilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13443981190371924018noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2356894817165296920.post-67620587337016360022009-04-21T21:49:00.000-07:002009-04-21T21:49:00.000-07:00Purchasing a home can be a very stressful excercis...Purchasing a home can be a very stressful excercise. This is because it is probably the single biggest purchase a person will ever make. Therefore one has to look at a value proposition rather than the price proposition
As an investment what value will this property give in times to come
As a family abode how much value will this have for the owner in terms of comfort convenience and creativity while doing up the place. Finally what is the aspirational value. Price is something you pay once value lives on for ever.

Ofcourse affordability is also a key factor but then one needs to do a research to locate the areas where affordable houses in terms of the buyers budgets are available. Once this is done then look at all properties from a value proposition Ask the right questions Check reputation and track records talk to previous buyers. If all answersare satisfactory you may well have a property you will cherish for life and one you will be proud of throughout your lifeAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05171649363197452106noreply@blogger.com
